Design and Performance Study of Clutch Disc Assembly of Wide-Angle, Large-Hysteresis, Multistage Damper

Abstract The clutch is an important component of the vehicle driveline system. One its major functions to attenuate or eliminate torsional vibration and noise system caused by engine. Based on experiments damping under different conditions, structure functional principle a clutch-driven disc assembly for wide-angle, large-hysteresis, multistage damper investigated in this study using innovative combined approach. Furthermore, systematic integration key technologies, including wide-angle low-stiffness technology, large-hysteresis novel split pre-damping technology cushioning, proposed. results show that total angle more than twice traditional damper. design allows better consideration various requirements which can effectively address problems severe idle vibrations resonance occur idled accelerated conditions. Meanwhile, use wear-resistant materials not only improves performance, but also prolongs product service life, consequently resulting multi-faceted optimization products.
